Patricia Gilman, MA received her Master of Arts Degree from Humboldt State University (Arcata, CA) in 1994. She began her research career at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA as a research psychologist. While there she worked on an Interpersonal Violence project, and later on an STD/HIV project. She joined HRA in August 2002 as a research project coordinator and for the past 3 years, she has coordinated and participated in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research studies including both male and female sexual health disorders, diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). Patricia has also assisted the language department with the cross cultural adaptation and linguistic validation of outcomes measures into US English. She now has over three year’s experience working on US English translation projects in therapeutic areas such as Diabetes, Asthma, Bipolar, Neck Disability, Neuropathic Pain, and Over Active Bladder.
