Maria Madison was born and
raised in Argentina. She graduated in English Education from the
Instituto Nacional del Profesorado in Paraná (Universidad de
Entre Ríos) with the highest honors, receiving an award from the
Ministry of Education. Her Bachelor of Arts degree has been credited by
the Foundation for International Services in Bothell, WA. She later
went back to college specializing in Linguistics, Research Methodology
and Literary Analysis at U.C.E.L University in Rosario, Argentina. For
many years, Maria worked as a translator for international corporations
such as ICI Argentina, ZENECA Pharmaceuticals, and SINOMETRICS
International in Seattle, WA. She has also devoted many years to her
career as an educator, teaching English as a Second Language in
Argentina and in the United States. At the Universidad del Centro
Educativo Latinoamericano in Rosario, Argentina, she was in charge of
developing and teaching intensive Spanish courses to international
students, including an executive of the High Commissioner for the
United Nations. She moved to Seattle late in 2002, and has recently
joined the staff at HRA, Inc. as a Translation Project Coordinator.
