Carla Ascoytia, BA,
received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and French from
the University of Northern Iowa with certification in Teaching. Carla
joined the HRA team in 2003 and is the Manager for Field Projects with
additional responsibilities as an instructor for the Life Skills
patient education programs. In the last 3 years, Carla has coordinated
and participated in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research
studies involving in-depth individual interviews and focus groups
across multiple population groups and therapeutic areas, including both
male and female sexual disorders, mental health quality of life
assessments, diabetes, COPD, asthma and SUI. Carla’s skills
include site recruitment and monitoring, patient recruitment, cognitive
debriefing and QA activities for outcomes research documentation. Her
career prior to coming to HRA consisted of 20 years of service in the
private sector with Continuous Process Improvement initiatives in
Customer Service and Core Competency Training for corporate America.
She is a member of IAHPC (International Association for Hospice and
Palliative Care), NICABM (National Institute for Clinical Application
of Behavioral Medicine) and has certification and volunteer experience
in Domestic Violence Crisis Management, and as a Hospice Care Provider.
